If you’ve ever hired a company to service or upgrade your home, you know the process usually involves calling and getting price quotes from at least 3 companies that you’ve vetted online, or been referred to. It doesn’t matter what the type of project, be it plumbing work, remodeling, or even air duct cleaning. But no company worth their salt should be giving you over the phone estimates. If you’re one of those people who wants to minimize foot traffic in your house by requesting phone estimates, you should expect it to be inaccurate, or a low-ball/incomplete estimate.
Many companies are happy to give over the phone estimates, but they typically use them as a way to get in the caller’s home by quoting a low price, then after getting inside your home, will jack up the price to an “accurate” figure. And some air duct cleaning companies are no different.
When you contact Simply Better Air, you will receive an accurate, up-front estimate based on the square footage of your home, and it won’t be changed afterward. The estimate will include the entire job from start to finish—no add-ons, upsells, or changes—period. As long as your square footage stays the same, and you don’t make an addition to the property before we start work, you won’t have to worry about paying more than our quote.
What Happens When You Get Your Ducts Cleaned?
This is one of the most common questions we receive from prospective customers. This is a great question… you should always have a thorough understanding of what any home services company is offering. The objective of air duct cleaning is to rid your ducts of all possible dirt, debris, dust, mold, and mildew inside your home’s ductwork. Some of these substances are loose and easy to remove, while others can be caked on and not so easy to remove.
After you receive your accurate estimate, as discussed above, our crew will arrive at your house and quickly prepare to clean your ducts. They will NOT mistreat your home, or create a mess, which a lot of customers are initially wary of. They treat your home with the respect it deserves, just like it was our own home.
When work begins, we use an agitator tool to loosen any contaminants that aren’t easy to remove. Then we use a negative air pressure vacuum to pull all the debris outside of your home. Afterward, we’ll show you the difference, and how effective our service is, so you can see for yourself how much cleaner and healthier the air in your home will be.
Basically, we make sure your ducts are completely cleaned and decontaminated, so no bacteria that might otherwise grow in your duct system is killed. For a more in-depth explanation of our process, be sure to check out our cleaning process page.
